Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic. This drug stops the productin of proteins that is needed by the bacteria to multiply and divide therefore it kills the bacteria and prevents the spread of infection.

Indications:

Clindamycin is used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, skin, pelvis, vagina, and abdomen caused by bacteria. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How to take:

Clindamycin is taken as directed by the doctor. It comes in a capsule form and is taken by mouth with a full glass of water.
